‣Uzma Berhad Ventures into Inner Mongolia
Uzma Engineering Sdn. Bhd (“Uzma Engineering”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Uzma Berhad, had on 9 September 2008 entered into an agreement with Cheah Sun Chuang and Cheah Sung Chai (collectively “Cheah Brothers”) to acquire 35% equity interest in Oriental Motors Co. Ltd (“Oriental”), a company incorporated in Hong Kong, for purposes of participating in the role of master project manager for Baiyin Chagan, Inner Mongolia, dense petroleum block for fourteen (14) years.
Uzma Engineering Sdn. Bhd (Uzma) a fully owned subsidiary of Uzma Berhad has entered into a Technology Partnership with Explora Seismic Services, Inc (ESS) of the United States. ESS, a worldwide market leader in seismic processing is based in Houston Texas; with a wealth of experience encompassing many years and encircles the globe with a proven ability in all aspects of seismic data processing.

Uzma Berhad (“Uzma” or the “Company”) made its debut on the Second Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad this morning. Uzma’s Chairman, YB Senator Datuk Wira Syed Ali bin Tan Sri Syed Abbas Alhabshee officiated the ceremony with the customary hitting of the gong to signify the listing of the Company.
